Biography
Originally born in Endicott, NY (birthplace of IBM Computers), Chris Jordan moved to the Cincinnati area of Ohio with his family in 1992. Majoring in Fine Arts and English Literature, he graduated from Milford High School in 2002. That Fall, he became enrolled at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, where he majored in Graphic Communications. In 2005, he earned his degree in Graphics Imaging Technology, and entered the printing field as a co-op through the college. He remained in this field for several years while fulfilling Machine Operator and Inventory Management roles.
In 2012, Chris enrolled in the Music Management program at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. Here, he built upon several years of music lessons and independent study while learning the fundamentals of studio recording. Various examples of projects he worked on during this time can be found on this site. He recorded a 10 track album with a local band, The Tailwinds, entitled Everything, as an independent project that spanned multiple semesters. A song from those sessions, A Man and His Truck, received national exposure when it was played on broadcast radio during an episode of NPR's Car Talk.
Upon completing coursework at Hocking College, Chris returned to the Cincinnati area where he pursued an apprenticeship in Live Sound at a performance venue in Milford, the now defunct Bocca Live. To meet the requirement for his degree, he fulfilled over 75 hours of work-study under the guidance of the venue's audio engineers during live music performances. This hands-on experience allowed for direct access to the various aspects involved with running a live music venue and supporting the performances from a technical standpoint. In this role, Chris was given the opportunity to collaborate with performers, promoters, booking agents, and other industry professionals, while directly supporting the audio engineers from Cincinnati-based C&D Audio.
In 2014, Chris was awarded his degree in Music Management from Hocking College. Since that time, he has worked in Warehousing, eCommerce, and Estate Sales. Currently, he is seeking a professional role that will allow him to incorporate his various talents and interests and provide him with the opportunity to advance his career.
